Prof. Dr. (H.C.). Ir. Mohammed Ali Berawi, M.Eng.Sc., Ph.D.

Prof. Dr. (H.C.) Ir. Mohammed Ali Berawi, M.Eng.Sc, Ph.D, currently serves as the Deputy for Green and Digital Transformation at the Nusantara Capital Authority. He has also been actively teaching in the Department of Civil Engineering, Faculty of Engineering, Universitas Indonesia, since 2008. Previously, Prof. Ali Berawi held the position of Secretary to a Member of the Advisory Council to the President of Indonesia (2020–2022).
Prof. Mohammed Ali Berawi completed his doctoral studies in Value Engineering and Innovation at Oxford Brookes University, UK. He holds a professional engineering degree (Ir.) from Universitas Indonesia and a Master of Engineering Science (M.Eng.Sc.) from the University of Malaya. In 2024, he was awarded an Honorary Doctorate from Peter the Great Saint Petersburg Polytechnic University, Russia.
Prof. Mohammed Ali Berawi is a professor in the Department of Civil Engineering, Faculty of Engineering, Universitas Indonesia. He has also been a Visiting Scholar at the Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering, University of Washington, USA (2017), and a Visiting Professor at the University of Malaya, Malaysia (2023–2024). Additionally, he served as a Professor at the Graduate School of Industrial Economics, Peter the Great Saint Petersburg Polytechnic University, Russia (2019–2023). Prof. Mohammed Ali Berawi has been listed among the Top 2% of the World's Best Scientists by Elsevier and Stanford University for four consecutive years, from 2021 to 2024.
He is the Chairperson of the Indonesian Association of Lecturers (ADI) (2022–2027), Chair of the Supervisory Board for the Forum of Science and Technology Professional Organizations (FOPI) (2023–2026), Director of the Center for Sustainable Infrastructure Development (CSID), Executive Director of the ASEAN University Network for Sustainable City and Urban Development (AUN-SCUD), and Chair of the Smart Cities Working Group under the Association of Pacific Rim Universities (APRU-SCL).

Eugene Seah (A/Prof Dr)

Eugene holds over 25 years of experience in Project Management, Cost and Contracts Management, Sustainability, Digital and Technology as well as Construction Law and Alternate Dispute Resolution. He has supervision and works a wide range of developments including commercial buildings, hotels, residential, institutional, airports and infrastructure project, industrial, mobility, TOD and sports complexes. He has vast experience in the construction sector and is well respected in the academic community as well. Eugene taught at the National University of Singapore (MSc PM) since 2008 to 2023 and volunteers teaching at other Local and Foreign Universities. In his past companies, Eugene was tasked to build up and carry out cost research and cost data analysis and was in charge of the Building and M&E Cost data build up. In his experience, he has worked in international design and engineering companies and has experience in managing public listed companies His strengths are his networks, the understanding of people as a Coach and his business entrepreneurship, keeping abreast with the latest in the AEC sector.

SR DR ONG SEE LIAN, KMN

Sr. Dr. Ong has an illustrious career spanning over 50 years in both the public and private sectors of the property and construction industry. He is currently the Director and Strategic Adviser of Turner and Townsend Malaysia.
Sr. Dr. Ong is an active member of several professional institutions in Malaysia and internationally and has served in various capacities. Some of his notable appointments are:

  • President of the Royal Institution of Surveyors Malaysia (RISM) for 2003 – 2004 session.
  • Chairman of PAQS from 2003 to 2005.
  • Board member of the Board of Quantity Surveyors Malaysia (2003-2010)
  • 130th Global President of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (2011-2012). He is the first non-British passport holder, first Asian and the first Malaysian to be elected as the Global President in the 143-year history of RICS.
  • Chairman of Commission 10 (Construction Economics and Management) of Federation of International Surveyors (FIG), (2015-2018).
  • Chairman of Standard Setting Committee of International Construction Management Standard (ICMS) – (2015 to 2020).
  • Member of Technical Committee on the revision of CIDB Standard Forms of Contract (from 2022 until now)
  • Member of Expert Committee of the Asian International Arbitration Centre (AIAC) Standard Forms of Contract

Prof. Dr. Ir. Manlian Ronald Adventus Simanjuntak, S.T., M.T., D.Min., IPU., ASEAN Eng

Prof. Manlian Simanjuntak was born in Jakarta on November 30, 1974. He has been a permanent faculty member at Universitas Pelita Harapan (UPH) since 2000, specializing in Construction Management. He earned his Bachelor’s degree in Architecture from Institut Teknologi Indonesia (ITI) in 1998, followed by a Master’s degree in Civil Engineering from Universitas Indonesia (UI) in 2000. His research in Fire Safety led him to complete a Doctorate (Ph.D.) in Civil Engineering (Construction Management) at UI in 2006, supported by a scholarship from UPH. In addition to his expertise in Architecture and Construction Management, Prof. Manlian also pursued a Doctor of Ministry (D.Min.) in Leadership Transformation at Harvest International Theology of Seminary (HITS), Lippo Karawaci, in 2006. He was awarded a Professional Lecturer Certification in 2005 and was appointed as a Full Professor in Construction Management by the Ministry of National Education of Indonesia on September 1, 2010. Academic and Professional Roles Prof. Manlian has held several key academic positions, including: • Secretary of the Master’s Program in Civil Engineering (Construction Management) at UPH • Head of the Master’s Program in Civil Engineering (Construction Management) at UPH (2007–2017) • Dean of the Faculty of Design & Planning Engineering (FDTP) at UPH (2012–2013), overseeing six academic programs • Dean of the Faculty of Science & Technology (FaST) at UPH (2013–2017), overseeing seven academic programs Since March 9, 2010, he has also served as an Assessor for Lecturer Certification (Serdos) appointed by the government. Contributions to the Construction Industry Beyond academia, Prof. Manlian has been actively involved in Architectural Design, Construction Management, and Project Supervision. He has collaborated with various government institutions, professional associations, universities, and international organizations, including: Government Institutions: BAPPENAS, Ministry of Public Works & Housing, Ministry of Manpower & Transmigration, Ministry of Environment & Forestry, DKI Jakarta Province, Banten Province, Jakarta Fire Department Professional Associations: IAI, HAMKI, IAMPI, HAKI, MP2KI, PMI Indonesian Chapter Universities: UI, ITB, UNTAR, ITI, UMT, STT Harvest Jakarta, STT Agape Lampung, STT Syaloom Lampung, STIE Jakarta International Collaborations: NUS, AIT, NFPA, CMAA, PMI He has played a key role in project management, construction safety, and infrastructure evaluation for both public and private sectors. National Recognition and Leadership Roles Prof. Manlian was recognized as an Outstanding Lecturer by Kopertis III in 2016 and was promoted to Senior Lecturer IV/a in 2018 by the Ministry of Research, Technology, and Higher Education. In 2019, he completed training at LEMHANNAS (Indonesian National Resilience Institute), further strengthening his leadership in the field. After a rigorous assessment by the Ministry of Public Works and Housing (PUPR RI) and a Fit & Proper Test by the Indonesian Parliament (DPR RI), he was officially appointed as a Board Member of the Indonesian Construction Services Development Board (LPJK) for the 2021–2024 term on December 22, 2020. His responsibilities focus on developing construction service governance and industry regulations to ensure equitable infrastructure development across Indonesia. On December 20, 2024, the Ministry of Public Works and Housing reappointed him as an LPJK Board Member, reaffirming his dedication to optimizing Indonesia’s construction sector. Professional Certifications and Awards Prof. Manlian holds multiple certifications in Construction Management, Project Management, and Occupational Safety (K3), including: National Certification in Construction Management – Expert Level (2020–2023) National Certification in Project Management – Expert Level (2020–2023) National Certification in Occupational Safety (K3) – Expert Level (2020–2023) National Certification in Quality Management Systems – Expert Level (2020–2023) In 2023, he was honored with the Insinyur Profesional Utama (IPU) award by the Indonesian Engineers Association, along with the prestigious ASEAN Engineer recognition from the AFEO Governing Board. In 2024, he completed his Professional Engineer (Ir.) Program at Universitas Hasanuddin, graduating with Cum Laude honors. Commitment to Education and Industry Development Prof. Manlian remains committed to education, industry innovation, and national development. He continues to serve as a Professor at Universitas 17 Agustus 1945 (UTA’45 Jakarta), focusing on Project Management and Civil Engineering. He aims to develop Indonesia’s construction industry through knowledge, ethical leadership, and sustainable practices. With his extensive academic background, industry expertise, and leadership experience, Prof. Manlian Simanjuntak continues to shape the future of Indonesia’s construction sector, fostering excellence in both education and professional practice.
